First Ministry- REVIVAL TOUR

My very First Ministry!! My version of Stepping out in Faith!

A couple of people have asked me, how was it for you? How was the first Edition of the Revival Tour for you? And in all honesty beyond the fear and all the doubts, I’m sitting here thinking why didn’t I start this earlier, because that experience was just what I needed to get me out of my comfort zone and into the necessary deep waters.

Luke 12:48- “To Whom much is given, of him shall much be required; and of him to men entrust much, they will require and demand all the more.”

What Gifts has God placed in you yet we do nothing with them or down-play them? So many times we find ourselves in the wrong job or career where we know we’re not living out our Purpose on this Earth! We all have gifts within us that we need to own and nurture to enable us to live from our most Authentic Self!

As nervous as I was this weekend before I took the stage, or each time I doubted if I’d said the right thing or trying to remember what I may have left out… I had my light bulb moment, that moment when I realized that all along that was home for me, being on that stage sharing my testimony, sharing His Word, Sharing His TRUTH! That is home for me, always has been, always will be! that’s why I had the butterflies! that’s why I was nervous and that’s why I felt God’s presence with me all along, because after a very long time I was finally operating from my most Authentic place!

When we’re not in our zone- we hardly feel any of the above;- no fire! no butterflies! no excitement! no passion! We just do it because we have to and exist in that painful place that we unfortunately do not belong.

This weekend got me wondering about our lives and whether we feel like where we spend our 9-5 every day is where we are the answer? where we actually offer the solution that makes us irreplaceable? Are you the Beyonce of your field? (for the purposes of a relatable example)

I think our life’s purpose is to discover why we have this life in the first place and seek that answer with all our hearts and live it out boldly once we do find it!

I’ve had the call to Ministry over my life for years now, but run away as fast as I could still based on Luke 12:48, because I feared carrying the load, I feared all that would be expected of me! because like Jesus said in John 10:37- “If do not do the works, then do not believe a thing I say” so I feared judgement and felt so unworthy!

But like I shared at the Revival Tour on the 11th of Feb from Luke 5- Simon Peter too felt unworthy and even asked Jesus to depart from him for he was a sinful man, but Jesus told him vs 10- “Have no FEAR, from now on you will be catching men!”

FEAR can paralyze you and keep you in the same place, the same painful place for years! So you need to fight that Fear with FAITH! Fear and Faith cannot occupy the same space. Have Faith, Obey God and Trust Him to have your back always and like Simon and the other disciples vs.11- “They left everything and joined Him as His disciples”

Are you willing to leave EVERYTHING for your purpose? That right there is the million dollar question!

What is God calling you to do but you are fearing? maybe because of past experience or because of doubt you’re stuck in that same place. Why not replace that Fear with Faith and take the plunge! God will honor your obedience and reveal the next step if you are obedient to step one.

1st Samuel 15:22- “Behold, to Obey is far much better than to sacrifice!” Will you stay in your situation instead and give a sacrifice or obey? God requires prompt, complete obedience; nothing less is acceptable. We may feel that some of the things He asks us to do are too hard, but we must remember that He promises to give us grace to do whatever He asks of us; we need only to be willing.

Don’t wander for 40years like the Israelites did for a journey that should have taken them 11days! Choose Obedience- however hard it may be, even if you’re not ready to make certain moves- DO IT AFRAID! Just Heed.

How incredibly humbling it was to be a part of The Revival Tour! My love for the Lindsey’s goes way back following their ministry online for about a year now, so for doors like this to open up is only more evidence of His Grace and Might and not by my works at all, but all because of Him & for His Glory and Purpose…

Another Amazing thing about living out your Purpose is you’re reminded of how small you are- just but a vessel to be used by God for His Glory, not your own!

If His Will looks like this, then this is further evidence that God is better than the world’s best thing!

Thank you Apostrophe Marketing and the lindsey’s for sowing these seeds into my life;sowing the seeds of Faith, Obedience and Purpose! I am forever humbled and Grateful. God Bless your Ministries beyond your wildest dreams! No man has seen or heard the miracles He is about to perform in you and through you in Jesus name.

“You can be so dependent on staying the same that you miss the flexibility that comes with Stretching” Sarah Jakes Roberts

Sarah shared a message on Stretching to capacity not too long ago and what a timely message for me… I’m in my season of stretching in every way, from my personal life to career life and what a Beautiful place to be! when everything around you just can’t remain the same.

2017 the year of being ready to be uncomfortable, ready to get out of your comfort zone and really discover what you’re made of! put your Faith to test and walk the talk!

I’ve had to learn that life doesn’t always go as you’d planned, but guess what I only felt secure the moment I decided to surrender to God’s plan and not mine… And the most amazing thing happened… God took over!

Situations that would have broken me to the point of giving up instead took me to a place of Peace that I honestly can’t explain to anyone even myself and that’s how I know it’s all Jesus… Grace in all situations that I naturally would have run away from- from as long as I could… but instead decided to face and realize that facing our fears is the only way to conquer them, the only way to heal, the only way to let go and the only way to move on…

God is teaching me that sometimes in order for Him to Bless us, He first must stretch Us!… Stretch us to Capacity. For when you are stretched you can then fit through what God was doing in your life.

You cannot value success, until you have lost! so don’t fight loss, don’t mull over it for so long, instead pause and learn the lessons, embrace that journey and remember that your greatest weapon is your Obedience to God.

Joshua 8:1 “And The Lord said to Joshua, Fear not nor be dismayed. Take all the men of war with you, and arise go up to Ai; see, I have given into your hand the King of Ai, his people, his city, and his land”

No matter what we face in life, Jesus is the Mighty Warrior, the captain of the Host. He is our Leader, and He is leading His people in Victory. I do not believe that we have to live in fear. God has promised to provide for His Own. He has assured us, just as He did Joshua, that we will triumph if we listen to Him and Obey. Whatever obstacles are before you today, do not be afraid or dismayed, because God is with you.

Joshua 8:18 “Then the Lord said to Joshua, stretch out the javelin that is in your hand toward Ai, for I will give it into your hand. So Joshua stretched out the Javelin in his hand toward the city.”

In the middle of an Ambush God may ask you to be Still & to Heed to God’s word- like Joshua who was in the middle of battle & God instructed him to stop & STRETCH! So that He can take over, because by his own might Joshua would not have been able to conquer Ai.

God may be trying to speak to you in the midst of all the chaos… A Mind that is stretched can never go back to being the same! So Sometimes some stretching is necessary to get your breakthrough & most of all to remind us that we need some help, that we need His help. So as everything is happening pause for a minute & Heed to His instructions, Obey & have full & total surrender to Him & watch Him bring you to your Victory. Stop trying to face life alone! God’s got you & He will bring you through it & out of it.

Your Beauty- Serves a Purpose!

It’s been heavy on my heart to start the conversation about what True Beauty really means! and for me that would naturally be what does God define Beauty to be and scripture very clearly reveals the falsehood of physical beauty in Proverbs 31:30 “Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who reverently fears the Lord is to be praised”

That portion of scripture in itself holds all the water we need as a guide, a starting point… And rightly so because it reminds us that the physical doesn’t last, only by God’s Grace do we make it day after day just as we are, but what if your face was scarred? would that then mean you’re not beautiful anymore? I beg to differ and that is why we must continually remind ourselves that Beauty is inward;- “Let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.” Peter 3:4

Our Culture puts forth a standard of beauty that is unattainable by most. God puts forth a standard of beauty to which we can all attain if we respond to His work of Grace in our lives. Furthermore God encourages a beauty that will never fade and that will only grow more attractive with the passing of time.

Even pushing it Further, when we focus on only our physical- you will turn heads! yes you will! but that’s the end of it… A Fleeting, momentary impression. But a woman who cultivates inner beauty, who fears God and lives to serve others, makes a difference in peoples lives.

This has really challenged me to re-evaluate my life and allow for God to check me where I need to be checked and allow for Him to use me to impact Lives all for His Glory and if that means a lot will have to fade or be adjusted I am more than willing and ready for Him to do a new Thing in my life. Plus continually share that it’s all about God, we are just but vessels, in fact this body we think we call our own is actually not! but the Temple ofย  The Holy Spirit- 1st Corinthians 6:19-20 So I pray for the Grace to constantly be sensitive to His voice and heed to it.

And so far the journey of inner beauty comes with the Joy of the Lord, it comes with His Peace which surpasses understanding where no matter what is happening around you, you are at peace and safe and secure in His Presence!

And this journey makes it so much easier to embrace who we are! I get comments a lot like “I like that you easily walk around without make-up and even take pics without any” And my answer is because Jesus reminds me every day that beauty is not skin deep, but a Beautiful Spirit is the goal! Not that I am where I am supposed to be, so far from it actually! but the journey continues each and every day the pruning and the growing continues.

And not that we should neglect our personal appearance, but just spend time in God working on your Spirit and pure devotion to God will produce an appropriate concern for physical appearance and you will find yourself presenting an outward appearance that honors God and attracts others to your Character as opposed to just your physical appearance. This is a hard one to balance! but again it’s a journey…

And in the pursuit of True Beauty, we each need to acknowledge God’s providence and receive with gratefulness the body and appearance he has given us- meaning even with all the flaws we think we may have! He made us PERFECT to fulfill His Purpose and for His Glory, so like David said- “I praise you for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” Psalms 139:14 So instead of complaining about your height, or your hair, your hands or whatever- thank Him and Worship Him because anything less grieves God, so give Him gratitude and ask Him to use you to Glorify Him just the way He made you.

May your Beauty Serve a Purpose! Like Esther… (Please read her story if you haven’t or I’ll be forced to share her Beautiful story on my next blog:-)

Edifying habits

As we proceed with our New Year thought I’d share some edifying habits that have worked for me & continue to work for me…

How you start your day usually determines how the rest of your day will pan out! So for me it’s become a practice to start with God, if it means waking up earlier than everyone else then pray for that Grace!

If you have a house with Children you know our most sacred moments are before sunrise & in the Still of the night, in fact right now I’m blogging at 11:30pm after my mediation session that has actually led me to share this.

It wasn’t always like this though, it can be a struggle & a challenge to rise early or only wake up when the baby cries or when your toddler comes to wake you up and the first thing that you turn to is your phone which is right next to your pillow or under it… Yeah I see you!

But before all those distractions, before you wear your Mommy hat or attend to your Twitter or Instagram feed! Be STILL! Spend an hour or even 30mins in His presence, thank Him for waking you up this Morning & ask Him to guide your day, to protect you & your family & for His Will to be done in your life & for you to bring Him Glory as you go about your daily routine.

It really does make a world of a difference when we practice this, because I notice that when I let myself get too frazzled I’m off balance! easily irritable & my day is just off!

So in 2017 I urge you to start with God, speak to Him, listen to Him, spend time in His word & then set off on your day.

So after you’ve had your fellowship with God & you’re out of the house, what do we all naturally do in the car? We put on the radio right? & what do we listen too?

Well for me & I’ve gotten into a lot of trouble for this! because I miss out on ads & campaigns that I’ve helped put together because I personally don’t listen to Radio! Instead I listen to my personal playlist of what I call my “Jesus Music” from mellow worship sessions to high tempo Praise music that my kids & I can jam to๐Ÿ˜Šmeditate on and use to offer our hearts and minds to God as we begin our day.

Again not a practice I’ve always done! In fact when I was so lost in sin I couldn’t listen to my Gospel music as much as I looooove & thrive the most when I’m in His presence in worship, but that’s what sin does- it separate’s you from God!

So I would play my secular favorites & some may seem harmless, but the mind & the tongue are very powerful! what you perceive as harmless- the mind wanders & takes you to dark places & the tongue will repeat back those lyrics which don’t edify you, instead depending on the song- it can make you angry, depressed, proud or sexually stimulated…

Now here’s the thing if your okay with the above that’s fine, I’m speaking to those who want to lead a life that pleases God & also puts you in a place of peace- so it really all boils down to where you are in life & what matters to you!

One of my major responsibilities is my children, so I have to be very aware of what I expose them to! So it’s always been a very conscious decision of mine even when I was lost in sin! that when my kids are in the car with me we’re on Jesus or Kiddy tunes๐Ÿ˜Š When one secular song slips here & there boy do I try & erase that memory of it! and probably over compensate the next time… Sigh

But I truly thank God for that habit- because now if they are to sing anything at the drop of a hat it would be a worship song! of which I am grateful for- because sowing seeds starts now before it gets a lot harder to redirect their path & we all know the scripture that says- “Train up a child in the way that He should go & when He is old He will not depart from it” Proverbs 22:6

Maybe it’s because I LOVE Music so this habit edifies me. Listening to Music with a ย Wholesome, Uplifting & sometimes even challenging message sets my day off to a good start, a better start & with time I even found myself listening to the same playlist through the day even if in my office I am exposed to everything! but because I’ve already down the seed early in the day- that is all I desire- just to be in His Presence.

Knowing who you are! Your strengths & your weakness! is so key in self development! You cannot grow if you do not know yourself & one way of knowing yourself is by

  • Asking others how would your Mom describe you, your siblings, your spouse, your colleague or even your kids? You may think you’re this pocket of sunshine! but maybe you’re a bitter pill to swallow & you don’t even know it! I know I struggled with this reality for a long time, even as I write this I’m surprised I can write about it- but I’m your text book example of an introvert who can get pretty moody! My family, my friends & colleagues are all pretty aware! And I should say I was aware to, but did I consciously do something about it? Not really! I just expected people to take me as I am & deal… But God calls us to co-exist in Harmony with all & above all He calls us to Love! So it’s kind of hard to communicate Love when you’re not giving it! So for me being aware of this flaw has made me all the more Intentional- intentionally choosing to Love; be it a family member, friend or stranger, in fact a reminder I feel led to share is Remember Ministry begins at home! Don’t be this sweetheart to the rest of the world but at home you’re unbearable to live with- that’s just not authentic living! Stop trying to keep up with the joneses & ask God to work on your heart and to fill you with His Love so that you too may move from a place of Love.
  • Maybe this should have been first, but aside from asking others also ask God to show you your heart & trust me He will, sometimes even more brutally than when others show you- but what I love most about consulting God is His Revelation is Beautiful. In Matthew Jesus says “When you Fast!” not if but when! You see prayer coupled with Fasting is the most powerful practice a Christian could do for their walk with Christ! He reveals stuff about you- you didn’t even know existed, stuff you thought you had dealt with, Strength you didn’t know you had until you are truly surrendered to Him & indeed believe that you can do all things through Christ who strengths you! The beauty about consulting God is He shows you what you can become, what you desire to become & He enables you to become that person.

Know yourself & watch yourself be a better person; for you, for your walk with the Lord & for those around you! Plus the devil takes advantage of what’s left in the dark & he will try to use that against you! Instead own up to it & deal with it & he won’t have power over it or you!

Which brings me to the Fundamental habit I’ve mentioned above!

As a Christian it is so critical for us to get into a habit of fasting! There are some strongholds that cannot be broken unless we pray & fast because some battles are not natural but spiritual! And fasting is the key to fighting spiritual battles!

Some answers you will never get unless you Fast, until you move closer to God and allow for Him to reveal! because Fasting doesn’t move God, Fasting moves You closer to Him.

Fasting is denying yourself food & other things that you like & need to show God that He is more important! that hearing from Him is more important than anything else!

During times that you would eat or watch tv or on spend time on social media, instead you spend that time in His presence! And sometimes that consecration may require for you to spend hours on end in His presence, be away from people & or places for a time so that you don’t have any distractions!

When I first felt the Lord leading me to do this I was terrified! I thought I would never make it! But with each day, with each victory I Blessed His name- because He not only revealed things to me that I would otherwise not see with my natural eyes but only through the Holy Spirit when you Fast!

But My Greatest Joy is my intimacy with God!… Like I said above, Fasting doesn’t move God, it moves you, it switches on your Spiritual antennas and enables you to hear Him more clearly! So every so often especially this first month of the new year I challenge you to give it a try & let the Holy Spirit guide you on how long you should do it, be it 3days, 7, 14 or like Daniel & Moses & Jesus 40 days! The Holy Spirit will lead you & there are several kinds of fasts; dry fast, liquid fast, Daniel Fast- all which should first be consulted in prayer. But a Beautiful habit I urge you to either try or keep in the New Year!

And Like Daniel, Moses, Jesus, Esther, John and David just to name a few who all got their breakthroughs or begun ministry or received the Lords favour or received healing & Restoration only after they fasted… You too can have your testimony after you take the step to pay the price and deny yourself so that He may increase in your Life! So ultimately what a Beautiful Gift it is.

One of my all time fave things to do is write! I write down notes all the time with my terrible handwriting๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ™ˆ(Dear Jesus bring deliverance there) Lol! But for real- like most girls I’ve kept a journal since my teen years which was then a diary with secrets, which later progressed into a book of stories & songs & poems & then into a Prayer Journal & bible study & now I have several; one for work stuff, one for my ideas & another for my prayer & bible study & of course my note-pad on my phone-which I may use the most!

The benefits of taking Notes;-

  • You don’t forget- I literally write down everything! especially in meetings so that I’m not asking myself later what was that brief again!? or when I’m listening to a sermon whether in church or on my phone or my laptop- I will pause severally to take notes so that I can remember and later mediate on the word & also share what I learn with you.
  • To help you count your blessings- When you look back at your prayer journal you truly thank God for how far He has brought you & it also serves as a great reminder of how Faithful He is! And it gives you the boost to even pray more boldly & more earnestly.
  • I read somewhere that seeing your goals written down with your own handwriting has a trigger in your brain that gives you the momentum to go for it! Plan for it & realize that dream!
  • You can pass down lessons- Imagine passing on all the lessons you’ve learned over the years to your children! Like how in Uni we used to ask 2nd years to give us their 1st years books so that we could be a step ahead in class- well same concept here- You have an opportunity to leave something tangible for your children to refer to. In fact as I write this I am given even more affirmation to blog & if it is His Will one day by His Grace write a book that my children can refer too!

There’s a switch that goes on in your thirties that puts you on a legacy mode kind of vibe, it’s no longer about the now, but what will you leave behind?

Lastly for now, because I feel like there is a lot more I’m leaving out, but the last habit I would urge any single girl or guy is…

Practice Celibacy- Yup I said it! I’ve shared my excitement about Waiting on all my social media pages since Devon & Megan Franklin decided to bless us with their story & their book!

As Believers though, this is not news to us at all! We grew up knowing you keep yourself pure until after marriage! In fact my Mother was in utter shock when I told her I was sexually active & was now a single Mother at 24!

This was not the girl she raised! Even I didn’t recognize myself in my twenties! But that’s what happens when you step out of God’s will & feed your fleshy desires instead! But God is Gracious and He is a God of Restoration! He gave me my greatest Blessings and constant challenge to be a better mother, person and human being- My Children๐Ÿ˜Š

So like me, you may have fallen from grace, and severally at that, but God is a God of second chances, you just need to go to Him with a repentant heart and truly Worship and Seek Him in Spirit and in truth!

Megan Franklin pointed out in her book that sometimes you may find yourself in a relationship that you know is not good for you at all & in no way bringing God Glory! but you stay because the sex is good! Yup I said it! Yet Sex cannot edify you outside of Love and outside of marriage!

It’s a gift God gave us to enjoy as married couple’s… because we all know that sex complicates EVERYTHING!

  • You don’t think soberly
  • You get your emotions in a tangled mess
  • Your heart wants more yet you’re probably not even compatible with this person but there you are forcing!
  • Sex comes with consequences that you are probably not ready to deal with e.g kids
  • Sex can come with diseases which non of us wants

So as great an act as it is! It’s all the more beautiful within the right context!

And a brilliant lesson that Devon reminds us of is;- if one can control Lust, if one can have power over their mind! You can almost probably handle anything that comes your way!

Which is such a POWERFUL Lesson! Having power over your mind and body is necessary for any human being! not being slaves to our desires but actually being able to have control over ourselves is a weapon only realized once you do have the control.

God rewards Purity & obedience! Your body is His temple, so Love & treat it as is! Our bodies don’t even belong to us, so to think that we can do whatever we want to do with it is a sin!

Because ultimately we are His! Through & Through! & God honors the marriage bed & takes pride when Wife & Husband honor it too & He also enjoys seeing married couples be intimate! It actually brings Him joy! It is a powerful ministry between married couples.

Whereas sex outside marriage only brings shame, yet the act itself is Beautiful but not before it’s time.

One of my biggest lessons, my biggest tests & most edifying practice! It’s not an easy road! not by a long shot! in fact if you are used to the act- you may fall severally! But get back up each time!!

And I strongly feel that we’re in the Season where it’s time for us to do the work because God will bring to completion what He has begun in you but you must do your part!

So as much as His Grace is sufficient! James 4:7 remind us to Submit ourselves then to God, resist the devil & he will flee! Because as much as the act is Beautiful! Outside of marriage as a Christian, no matter how you look at it- It is still sexual immorality! And I know this is a struggle even among Believers, so I urge prayer & fasting to break the habit and to break soul ties so that you are free to serve Him from a more wholesome place & keep yourself pure for Him and for the one that God has for you.

Try it… it will reveal so much about yourself & about the relationship.

From my heart to yours

Faith is the Key that Unlocks

Matthew 9:20-22″Just then a woman who had been subjected to bleeding for twelve years came up behind Him & touched the edge of His cloak, she said to herself, “If I only touch His cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her “Take heart, daughter, your Faith has healed you” And the woman was healed that Moment.”

This portion of scripture is my 2nd fave after the story of the woman at the well, because it captures what Faith can do! How the Faith of a Mustard seed can move mountains in your life!

You can imagine what this woman had to go through just to get next to Jesus; crowds were following Him, but she didn’t care, she knew this was her only moment to get close to Him, she was bloody & unclean & back in those days when women were on their menstrual cycle they were set apart for 7days, that’s how unclean they were viewed in those days… Yet this woman bled constantly for 12years! But in this moment she didn’t care, all she was after was her Healing.

So many lessons from this portion;-

Jesus felt power leave His body in the midst of the crowds that surrounded Him, when she touched Him He felt it & turned back to ask who has touched me… Jesus then turned & saw her & told her “Your Faith has healed you, and the woman was healed from that moment”

Faith brings healing… Jesus didn’t have to touch her or pray over her, but the simple act of touching His garment & believing that she would be healed, is what delivered her from years of struggle!

So if you have a struggle that has challenged you for years, it doesn’t matter how long! All you need to do is work on your Faith & stand on His word;

Matthew 21:22 says “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive if you have Faith” Romans 10:17 says “Faith comes by hearing & by hearing the word of God” Hebrews 11:26- “And without Faith it is impossible to please God, for whoever who would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him” & lastly for now Hebrews 11:1-“Now Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”. All these scriptures show you that Faith is the Key that unlocks, Faith is the Promise of things hoped for & not seen & without it we can’t please God & neither will we see our promise. And Faith is the courage to ignore your reality and see through hopeful eyes, that your situation can be different! It all boils down to Faith! So I challenge you this new year to have more Faith! For Faith will heal, Faith will restore & Faith will make you bold!

Faith unlocks the door to instant Power! The woman struggled for 12years & in an instant she touched His Garment & her faith finally healed her! This was her last straw! This desperate move was all she had and was the thing that finally brought her healing! instant healing!

So you may be seeking for answers in the wrong place, but the moment you seek His face, desperately & earnestly seek Him & only Him! Your healing will come faster than you know it, for your Faith will please Him & your Faith has the power to cause Supernatural change! Imagine deciding to not see life as it is, but instead as the things you hope for & in an instant that comes to pass because you were bold enough to have the faith to Believe.

To get the results this woman got! You have to be Bold! You have to be willing to leave where you are & go & seek! She left her house because she heard that Jesus will be passing in her town so in her bad state she desperately & boldly made it through the crowds, probably pushed & shoved until she could touch His Garment!

To receive healing you must be bold & intentional, walking in Purpose! What is your Purpose? And what are you willing to do to get it? Or are you just passing time, hoping & waiting! James 2:17 says Faith without works is dead!! so you have to be bold & act on your Faith to see results!

Faith will give you Favour from the Lord! above I shared that Faith pleases God! And indeed in this story we we see that truth! There were crowds following Jesus all seeking His miracles, I’m sure many touched Him, reached out to Him, asking for a thing or two, but Jesus felt her, He stopped His journey & turned to speak to the woman & called her daughter!

I don’t know about you, but my heart swells each time I read His response to her! Because it shows that Faith grabs His attention! Faith can make Jesus change direction & focus on you! And recognize you as His Child. Faith can set you apart from everyone else and give you favour from God! Hallelujah๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ

Faith is the answer… That desperate cry of Faith is what God needs to hear from you, that honest call for help, that brokenness & desire to just be where He is… Is your breakthrough!

Have Faith & watch as 2017 becomes your year of miracles, breakthroughs & restoration… Healing is here if only we just have more Faith.

Bless His name๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Matthew 6:14- “If you forgive others the wrongs they have done to you, your Father in heaven will also forgive you.”

We all have that one person or for some even a couple of people who’ve tested our patience, broken our hearts and driven us to limits that we are not proud of & it’s usually easier to just walk away or even run away and try to forget and hope to never have to deal with them again… But when you read this portion of scripture, God is very clear that in order for Him to forgive us, we first must forgive all those who hurt us, forgive as we would like Christ to forgive us! Not just a half-hearted we good kinda vibe, but forgive & keep showing Christs love & Grace!

Wow! I don’t know about you, but this is still a tough one for me, because I’m an introvert & usually introverts are very sensitive people who take a while to allow anyone into their space, but when we do, we really do, so when the trust is broken…ย It can take us years to recover! Yet God says Forgive, forgive despite the hurt, despite the disappointment, despite the pain & Forgive & extend Grace & Love to your enemies… Share a Smile, Give of yourself, forgive & forget.

Forgive… It’s healing for your heart. Forgive! And Christ will forgive you too! Same measure, pressed down & shaken together! I want His Grace on my life always, so extend Grace to others & watch as God does the same for you.

So as we enter 2017! Let’s go in with Forgiving hearts, loving hearts & let’s ask God to give us His Heart.

One of my favorite meditation songs by Casey J Beautifully captures one’s desire to have a heart like God… A Heart of Loveโค

Your Heart- Casey J
These hands will wipe the tears for those who cry to you at night
And these feet will walk the miles to the place of those broken-hearted
And my voice will cry out for those who cry out for you
I’ll be your heart to the ones I meet
I’ll show love to the least of these
I would have never known if you didn’t first love me
I’ve learned to love when I’m your hands and feet
I’ve learned to love Ill be your hands and feet

These eyes will see the hurt of those who suffer silently
And this mind will be like yours and believe what you called us to be
Unselfish, unchanging, unfailing love

I’ll be your heart to the ones I meet
I’ll show love to the least of these
I would have never known if u didn’t first love me
I’ve learned to love when I’m your hands and feet
I’ve learned to love Ill be your hands and feet

I want more
I want more
I want more
Of you

Make me more
Make me more
Make me more
Like you
I’ve learned to love Ill be your hands and feet

I’ll be your heart to the ones I meet
I’ll show love to the least of these
I would have never known if u didn’t first love me
I’ve learned to love when I’m your hands and feet
I’ve learned to love Ill be your hands and feet

I’ve learned to love when I’m your hands and feet
I’ve learned to love Ill be your hands and feet

Unselfish, Unchanging, Unfailing love

Finally 30!

So I’m that strange girl who couldn’t wait to turn thirty! I think since I was a teen๐Ÿ™ˆIt’s that serious! So July 10th 2016 was quite special for me๐Ÿ˜Š

Back then I just admired how Women in their thirties seemed like they had it all together! They were done with the discovery stage that comes with our twenties & instead more self aware, more confident, more secure & a whole lot more unapologetic…

That was what I looked forward to then & yes even now some of those traits have come to pass and I thank God… But in my late twenties I begun to seek something different, for so much more…

Right now, turning 30 symbolized Purpose! It Symbolizes courage & less self desire, but driven by a Purpose bigger than me!

His Will! God’s Will be done & not my own is all I desire in my thirties & that usually means dying to self each day so that He may live in us… And that usually means letting go of a lot, letting go of that which you know doesn’t bring ย Him Glory; it could be the music you listen to, what you watch, the company you keep, the relationship you know He hasn’t blessed or that habit that even you know doesn’t honour your body or bring Him Glory…

6 Months Later since my bday in July, I now know that some of the habits take time & others are almost an immediate transition… But His Grace is surely sufficient!!!

There’s a lot more I’m definitely not taking with me into 2017! Because 31 will require for me to step it up even more & seek His face even more earnestly.

I am still a work in progress, but He promises to complete the good work that He began in Us… So if you’re reading this & you know that God has called you, but you fear because you have a past, or you lack the courage or fear the response from the rest of the world… I urge you to take your fears to God & just say Yes! You may not even know what the assignment is, but say Yes… God is only looking for yourย Availability & Christ is made perfect in our weaknesses- 2nd Corinth 12:9 “My Grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”

So like Paul, Moses, Jonah, Gideon, Sarah and many more who at first doubted, questioned & feared the call! Because they either didn’t feel good enough or worthy or believed that God could actually do what He promised! But God surprised them all & used them all! as flawed as they were for the fulfillment of His Purpose.

Lastly John 4- Jesus & the Samaritan Woman has been my biggest Ministry this year…

Jesus was in Samaria where he met a lady at the well & asked her; “Will you give me a drink?” And the Samaritan woman responded “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan Woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the Gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked Him and He would have given you Living Water” “Sir you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this Living water? Are you greater than our Father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?” She asked & Jesus answered “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give Him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give Him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” She then asked for this water so that she may not thirst again & Jesus told her “Go call your husband and come back” “I have no husband” she replied. Jesus said to her “You are right when you say you have no husband, that fact is, you have had five husbands and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” She was then convinced that He was a Prophet- but said “Our Fathers worshiped on this mountain, but You Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” Jesus declared, “Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans Worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when True Worshipers will Worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is Spirit and His worshipers must worship in Spirit and in Truth”. The Woman said “I know the Messiah is coming. When He comes He will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared “I who speak to you am He”.

Then leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could He be the Christ!?”

And many Samaritans came out to see Him & believed because of the woman’s testimony. They urged Jesus to stay with them & He stayed two days & they said to the woman “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves and we know that this man is really the saviour of the World”

Like the Samaritan Woman, my desire is for my testimony to make others Believe! and for them to experience Christ for themselves & accept Him as their Saviour.

Her story really speaks to me, because like her, I too I’m flawed, like her, Jesus knows everything about me, like her, Jesus still loves me enough to Minister to me, like her, I too have to let go of that which doesn’t bring him glory & take my fill of His Living water & go out into the world & spread His Word! Share my testimony & bring others to Him. Do you realize she even left her Water Jar at the well? She instead got the Living Water she desired. One of the reasons why it’s always symbolic for me to go to the Ocean, especially this most recent trip in December, is what the Water symbolizes the walks on the beach and being one with the water is a very healing process for me, I have some of my deepest and most beautiful devotions there that I treasure…

But back to the Samaritan Woman; He chose her, the Woman who’s name is not even shared, showing that it doesn’t even matter who you are! God can use you! And He used her to minister to the Samaritans! & because of her, a whole town heard the good news & believed that indeed Jesus Christ is the Saviour!

It doesn’t matter who you are… God can use you, God can use you to fulfill His Purpose.

My Hearts desire & prayer๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

And just like Jesus… Begin Ministry at 30! In my own small way the journey has begun! May His Will & Grace guide me through๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Wishing you a Blessed & Courageous 2017๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸพHeed to the Call & Walk into your Purpose๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Gratitude- Lessons 2016

2016 Thank you for the Validation๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

When God decides to pleasantly surprise You! He surely does!

I’ve shared this before…

You see this year started off very rough for me! I started it off with a Fast, a Spiritual Fast- that led to one of the toughest spiritual warfares I’ve ever experienced! I never thought it would end or if I would make it out restored- but God is so able! & so Faithful!

I had to go through what I did so that He could be back on my throne as my King & nobody else! We serve a Jealous God, so when we put others on that pedestal- it won’t be long before He reclaims His position no matter how painful it may be. I know that sounds ruthless! not the sweet, encouraging stuff you’re used too huh? But that same loving, friend is also a Just Father who also practices Tough Love which we all need at one point or another.

For me the testing moments grew my Faith exponentially, anyone who knows me, like really knows me, can see and or sense the change. It humbled me & reminded me of the bigger picture, which is to die to self each day so that He may live in me & through me fulfill His Purpose. I am only but a vessel, here for the service of Christ & others & that is and should be the only thing that matters.

And when I finally accepted that reality & decided to look at life with Grateful eyes; doors begun to open, wounds begun to heal & the joy of the Lord became my Strength & His Peace that surpasses all Understanding became my dwelling place.

So even this undeserving Accolade only came after I learned this lesson… so my other grand lesson from 2016 is- stay Grateful! for if we remain Grateful in all things the Good Lord will give you even more to be Grateful for๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

Keep an Attitude of Gratitude, for it will surely elevate your Altitude, but not that you should gloat! but as a show of God’s Favour and Grace and all Glory belongs to Him.

Thanx again Business Daily Africa๐Ÿ™๐ŸพIt is a Humbling Honour to be a Top 40 Under 40 Woman… Still Surreal.

The Pruning- Lessons 2016

The Season of Pruning majorly describes 2016! Lots of clips & cuts so that we can get to the next level- hard, painful experiences, whether for some it was the end of a marriage or a relationship, or the end of a regime, or the loss of a life, or the end of a friendship or the loss of a job & the beginning of uncharted waters, new ground, new territory, new Season…

The Pruning that has taken place in 2016 really made it abundantly clear that some roads you will have to walk alone or not take everyone with you, that you have to be ready to let go! And travel lighter on your next journey and bravelyย walk away from familiar ground & walk into the Unknown…

The unfamiliar can be unsettling, uncomfortable, strange, Hard & sometimes very Painful! But boy do you Grow!

The Growing Pains come with many lessons if we choose to learn them; it may be a nudge to help you grow your Faith in God which best happens when He is all that you have! or maybe you need to mend your trust in Him which again is only tested when Life becomes harder than usual, or maybe it’s time to boost your levels of gratitude, which again happens when we loose that which we may have taken for granted.

That said, If you loose something during the Pruning season- remember that God does not leave a Void! Trust Him to replace that space with something even better! But!…

Yes there is a but…

That something better only comes with Obedience. Obedience to His Will & not your own. Obedience is the key to the Promise, so surrender to His Will, to the Process & say Yes to the lessons & allow for the journey to unfold.

Most times we lack the courage & the patience, well at least for me that’s been the case- too scared to try His Will because I knew His Will would require for me to step up! yet my will was easier & quicker, but the consequences that usually follow my short-cut route can sometimes even take a life time to mend.

So during the Pruning Process… Trust the Process & Trust His timing. He never promised it would be easy, but it would surely be worth it.

Luke 22:42 “Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”

Your Will may seem better in that moment, but His will is Good & Perfect in the Long Run! You just need to get through this Season & bask in His Glory later.

Be Blessed

Love Grace

And Happy 2017, remember that after the Pruning comes the Promise! I don’t know about you, but I’m hopeful about 2017๐Ÿ˜Š

Reason for The Season

For unto us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace- Isaiah 9:6โค

Born to Save Mankind, Born to take up the Cross, Born to show you & I what Love meansโค

What a Year a Beautiful Year of Lessons 2016 has been… both hard & painful but all ending so Beautifuly because God is a God of Purpose. 2016 has been one Revelation after another, where God has been quite Audible in my Life, both personally & publicly! Given me so many undeserving gifts, many hard lessons to swallow & painful realizations.

My TL is filled with “2016 needs to end already” “it’s been the worst” And many like sentiments… And I totally get where most were coming from; the entertainment world has had more RIP’s than ever before, the US Election… Well let’s just leave that alone, The never ending Corruption story here in Kenya & in many of our personal lives we have been Challenged, pruned & tested.

For me the beauty of it all lies in the lessons learned thereafter & fully trusting God like my life depends on it! Not like I have a plan B in place, but actually keeping Him as my Plan PERIOD!

I joined the 30’s Club this Year & it was very significant for me because I knew it meant another level for me Spiritually! I’ve always run away from Ministry… But not for long! God has had the last laugh๐Ÿ˜Šbecause now in my thirties He really is all I care about & want to share with the world, the only part of me that excites me, calms me, gives me peace & above all secures me.

So a year later since I started this blog, I give it back to God yet again, He was very clear that I should use this space for Ministry hence all my blog posts sharing about my Faith with the purpose to show you that God is Real, God is Faithful, God is Merciful, God is Just & most of All God is Love and He gave His one & only Son so that you & I may have Everlasting Life… He’s just waiting on you.

Love Grace
